An overview of the 3 stations under CCL6 in June 2025. |
With the Circle Line stage 6 (CCL6) section targeted for completion in the first half of 2026, we took the opportunity to check in on progress made on the 3 new stations along the 4km link. Works at the three stations are in the semi-final stages, with structural works since completed and installation of architectural finishings underway. Commuter facilities such as sheltered bus stops and pick-up/drop-off points are being constructed to support connectivity at the stations. Join us as we take a better look at all the progress made thus far after the jump.
CC30 - Keppel (Contract 882)
In a nutshell: Work was focused on the architectural finishings of the 3 station exits, with part of the pedestrian footpath along the westbound Keppel Road closed for commuter facility construction. The ventilation shafts and/or skylights at the station had since been tiled and cladded, with 3 sporting a bright primary colour scheme in contrast to the grey stone tones of the rest of the station. The ceiling at the station's 3 exits featured a wooden theme, with wooden tones mimicking the nearby park since landscaped above the station's eastern end. Small details, such as floor tiling and handrails at the staircases have been going in at the 3 exits. The LED train arrival displays at the exits were also installed at all 3 exits. Portions of fencing to demarcate areas belonging to the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA) had been reinstated as well.

CC31 - Cantonment (Contract 883)
In a nutshell: Work is at varying stages of completion at the station site. The most complete exit structure at the mid-year point was Exit 4, within the compounds of the former KTM railway station. Similar to works ongoing at Keppel station, part of the pedestrian footpath along the eastbound Keppel Road was closed off for works at Exit 4, including the construction of new commuter facilities. The remainder of the exits were at various stages of architectural work installations, with Exit 2 being further along than Exits 1 and 3. At this point, it is unclear if the LED train arrival displays have been installed at some of the exits. The ventilation shaft at the station is exceptionally big - we understand that this consolidates the ventilation requirements of the 3 stations along CCL6 into a single location - and architectural finishings have largely been completed along the front of the facility.

CC32 - Prince Edward Road (Contract 885)
In a nutshell: The worksite on top of the station area has since been re-turfed and the road network paved with asphalt. Exit 1 is further along in architectural finishing works than Exit 2, with the LED train arrival display visible at the entrance. Ceiling panels were also being installed at the exit, while Exit 2 was having external cladding installed. The ancillary buildings have also since been cladded in a bronze colour scheme. Some remaining works at the ancillary buildings is still ongoing. Elsewhere, along Cantonment Road, the emergency escape stairs were largely completed.
