More sections of the station are beginning to take shape with the surface structures pushing through. The station achieved basic structural completion (BSC) in the middle of 2023, with the exits likely to follow this coming year. Check on after the jump for more pictures!

As with Keppel station, Cantonment achieved its BSC in June 2023. A couple more pictures of the station's interior from June 2023 have become available. Since then, it is likely that the station was fitted with lifts and escalators as seen in LTA's update during the Blair Road Tok Panjang event last year.

Exit 4
The lift shaft for the exit is made of pre-fabricated metal girders. This has since been installed on site and blue tarpaulin is being used for weather protection for the moment. Rebar and concreting works are ongoing to form the base of the exit.

Exit 2
Since our year-end update for 2023, more portions of the exit have been cast with concrete. Further portions of the incline where the escalators will be placed have now been covered over with the ceiling of the exit's street level slab. Further along, the access ramp towards the lift shaft can clearly be seen now as well. We expect that by the first half of 2024, the works would have progressed sufficiently far along that the exit should attain BSC as well.

Exit 1
The lonesome exit is located a bit further away from the station and is the only one across Keppel Road from the station. We only observed the works from afar, hence we are not able to provide a detailed update on the progress of construction here. Nonetheless, there appear to be some cinder blocks installed at the exit site.

Another major part of the station's construction is the reinstatement & restoration of the old KTM railway station's platform roof canopies. This work has been ongoing for some time now and all that remains at the storage site is a single row of platform canopies. It will only be a matter of time before the platform roof canopies are fully reinstated and we look forward to their restoration on site. Do stay tuned through the year as we bring you periodic updates on the stations' progress up to their opening in 2026.
