Circle Line stage 6 is the final 4km missing segment between HarbourFront and Marina Bay stations that will close the gap, making the Circle Line a complete circle. The line currently gets its name from the way it curves (circles) around the Central Business District area and is referred to as an 'open circle' (incomplete loop). With stage 6, the line will then become a 'closed circle' (complete loop).

Pictures of the new dynamic route map in new Circle Line trains show an extra 3 spaces, indicating that stage 6 will potentially see 3 new stations. The entire project for stage 6 is expected to be completed in 2025.
