Circle Line 6 Construction: CCL6 - A snapshot in August 2024

An overview of the 4 sites helping to close the Circle Line loop as of August 2024.

Over August 2024, progress at the Circle Line 6 sites has seen work commence or continue on the roof of 7 of the 9 station exits. At this point, escalators had been installed in 7 of the 8 exits requiring their use as well. Additionally, noise barriers had begun to be taken down at Prince Edward Road, following similar works at Keppel before. More details after the jump.

CC30 - Keppel station (Contract 882)
In a nutshell: With all exits now equipped with escalators, progress of roofing works at Exit 3 has advanced significantly. Similar works have since commenced at Exit 1 but not at Exit 2. A temporary bus stop shelter was in the midst of being set up near Exit 2 ahead of the existing bus stop's closure in September.

CC31 - Cantonment station (Contract 883)
In a nutshell: Work at the station continues to advance with the exit structures at Exits 1, 2 and 4 making headway. Escalators have also been installed at Exits 2 and 4, while Exit 1 will feature only lift & stair access. Exit 3 is the straggler among the lot, but making decent headway nonetheless.

CC32 - Prince Edward Road station (Contract 885)
In a nutshell: Noise barriers were beginning to come down around the site, especially near Exit 2. With both exits equipped with escalators, works have progressed to the roof installation over the 2 exits. Cladding work has yet to begin for the station's 3 ancillary buildings.

Cut & Cover tunnels in Marina Bay (Contract 886)
In a nutshell: Construction on the new slip roads connecting to the Marina Coastal Expressway are still in progress. On the other end of the site, works on the ventilation building for the turn back siding has progressed with the architectural finishes being put as cladding goes up around the structure. The access openings for the track works are still visible although it is likely that rail installation on the project has been completed.
