Cantonment station, much like the others along Circle Line 6, has been under construction for several years now. As this section of the line passes through generally built up and sensitive sites, the stations are being built using a top-down approach. Unfortunately, this means that observing the works within the excavation site are not that easy with little visible changes viewable from the surface. The narrative here is no different - the surface-level site appears the same whilst there were some noticeable works to remove struts at one of the station exits along Spottiswoode Road.

The coming year would likely see the station achieve its basic structural completion with the bulk of structural works being completed. The works can then shift to installation of mechanical & electrical components such as wiring & plumbing before finally moving onto architectural finishings.
